Dear Smokie fans,

the first complete monograph about the history of Smokie band was published in Czech Republic in the year 2000 and was sold out soon. An author offered publishing of the book also to German and Danish publishers, but they refused his offer due to the lack of interest about this band yet and that the chorus is over…

However after the discussion with the author appears a chance for every fan of the legendary band to get for this updated publication, which contents a completed, detailed and well-founded written material describing all the history of the band from the beginning of the musical career of the each member of Smokie, over Kindness, top time of the years 1975-1979, some fumble in the years 1980-1986 after a new singer Alan Burton coming till the end of the year 1999, when the preparing of this book was finished and when Mike Craft has already been in a position of a solo singer.

The book also contents the full-range Smokie‘s discography worked encyclopaedically including other realized projects of the band members. It has been following simultaneously also Chris Norman career since the year 1986. The part of the book is a large number of picture documentation, too.

After the arrangement with the author and copyright-holder for this book publishing PhDr. Jaroslav Cisar, Fan Club Smokie-CZ announces to everybody who would be interested in this „fan-collect unique“, that updated edition will be worked up to the present days and a reissue will be published also in German and English edition in the case of big interest and for refunding costs.

We ask possible people interested in this matter to let us know how many printed copies about Smokie they would like. We thank for the message and we believe that we will be succesfull in the realization of our intention.
